Just wanted to stop in for an update.
I've been pretty good on my regimen for the last month or so. I've been moisturizing and sealing pretty regularly, doing GHE and the LOC method. Ive also been staying away from silicones, but I have been using a lower-sulfate shampoo. I've also been keeping my hair in cornrows underneath my wigs and its been working for me. I can tell that my hair is retaining some length because my fiancee noticed that my leave-out was getting longer. And when a man notices hair growth--- u know it's growing.
So for now I'm just continuing on. Since I have so much shrinkage its hard for me to gage how much growth I actually have. Im really curious to see what my hair looks like flat ironed but I dont want to disturb my progress just for curiosity.
It's been ten weeks since Ive been in this challenge and I really hope that I retained some length.

lol oh its accurate. I never even noticed before because the dye only shows in the sun. It doesn't appear bergundy in person, just my natural two tone from the sun. But the line is pretty distinct here.
right where my bobby pins are placed

Hey, Ladies. Just checkin in.
Momento- r u TOTALLY sure bout that 2 inches? I saw u started a new vit. Do u suffer from split end and/ or breakage? I was wondering bc of the things it states it does. Do you think you need a growth aide or vit that specifically deals with growth increase? How is your moisturization? How often are you moosturizing? Do you seal? Just trying to get to the root of it.
Crown- Sounds like your reggie is really benefiting ya gal! Kudos to ya!
Nay- Wow that's really ambitious of you to keep those twists in for that long. I know you could so do it! You have awesome braiding skills! Your retouch looks like not a hair was outta place! Go Missy!
Well, since I'm off Monday, I think I will pamper Cleo. I sooo enjoyed CurlyCleo! I may straighten or wear some stretched styles. Leaning toward straight.

Yeah I'm sure that's it. I haven't done any other dying... while my hair does split and break easy, I don't see how that would contribute to the rate it grows from my scalp. I take several growth aids on a regular basis and always sleep in my satin cap and on my satin pillowcase. I moisturizer and seal usually 5 days a week.
I take msm, super collagen, flaxseed oil, cla, d, c, zinc, and b complete. i exercise 6 days a week, and am on a majority fruit and veggie diet :S I've also had my thyroid cleared as being normal.
I've honestly always suspected my growth rate was this slow though. Year before last I took IMMACULATE care of my hair. So many growth aids and GHE 5 days a week and all types of cayenne pepper infused jbco + Megatek and protective styles always and daily moisturizing etc. Nothing.
My super collagen supplement is relatively new though. Maybe it will do something.
