There is a hair dye that can be used right after a relaxer but I can't remember the name of it. A stylist used it on me like 5 minutes after she washed a relaxer out my hair (in march) and it is still there and I can't for the life of me remember the name. Anyone know it?

edited because i remembered i posted this lol: it wasn't bigen or a rinse, or a semi-permanent dye. it was a permanent dye. she had to use something to lift the color also. my highlights are still golden brown and they have yet to break off (in fact, the hair that isn't dyed has been the one to break off when something goes awry with my hair ).

bump. i went to the hair salon and the stylists said she can dye and do the perm on the same day. i really thought it wasn't safe so i just did the dye. that is just scary to me.

do you mean a hard-core dye, or a semi-perm? if you meant the latter, i highly recommend clairol beautiful collection, it's a in a brown bottle. i used the ash brown, and it worked great, i'm dying my hair black next go around

angel- i remember that it wasn't a rinse, it was a permanent dye. like some witchcraft or something lol

mami- well i wanted a change and I already had my hair cut like that before so I was like "dye me!" and it is still there. i really need to go back there and ask what it was (not that I want to do it again, it's just racking my brain).

nyckchick- it was definitely hardcore dye. i think it is only in salons (as of right now since it's ~new~)

your stylist probably used a semi color did she/he mix the color with a type of activator?? because some semi-color is safe after a relaxer but i dont know a perment color that is safe right after a relaxer.

I recall Affirm having a Bridge system where you can relax and permanently dye on the same day. I've never tried it nor am I interested but it seems really cool.

Might it have been Bigen Hair dye? That's fine to use right after a relaxer.

A rinse like that shampoo in mousse rinse that profective makes or a clairol rinse. I used bigen right after a relaxer and my scalp went crazy!! It made my hair itch and it irritated it so bad I had to take out a $400 weave. So I would not use bigen and i even waited two day after my relaxer to use it!! Bigen is a great dye and it did leave my hair very soft tho.

Try Affirm they are really good .Don't know about that product that hair i am is mentioning but Affirm has really good products and I woud def try it.

Hope it helped!!
