Is there a real difference between those old school wedges and circular sponges that became so uncool once brushes got popular and the recent trend of so called beauty blender sponges or is it all just clever marketing and fickle consumers? Hmmm....

my beauty blender type sponge seems to soak up much less product than the wedges.

lol salem and wicked are by lime crime 

they are matte lip colors...

salem is a brownish color and wicked is a deep red...there are pictures of both around pages 330/331 ish

Today I was playing in my makeup and use wedges to apply some foundation. It still works just as good as a brush and blended my foundation faster and just as smooth. I took a stage makeup class in school and we mostly used old school wedges. 

eta: I used to always hear that your finger was your best tool, wedges are like using your fingers. But of course, marketing always get people.

For the price I'm not that fond of them. Although a little does go a long way
