I agree...I think the dupes are  prettyWink

I had to peel myself away from the lipstick section in Rite Aid yesterday. I had to remind myself how much lipstick I have that I don't use and of my commitment to put a dent in them before I buy anything else. Nail polishes are exempt from this rule since I recently tossed a whole case of melty separated ones that I hadn't opened in years but now that my interest has been renewed of course I can't find any around the house.

Mac has excellent branding......so you may know a mac color before you know a drugstore brand color or even higher end brands colors....plus Mac understands the importance of finishes......most drugstore brands are always a satin or gloss.......for me its easier to buy a color at Mac then matte down a cheaper drugstore version....and Mac is not a makeup status symbol unless you're basic as hell lol....Estee Lauder owns all that shyt low-key.....them and Loreal own most of the beauty industry's top brands

Okay y'all can we not say cheap anymore.  Cheap goes in the garbage or back to the store regardless of price.

But exactly Sandy.  And many of these companies are the same parent company, same factories, etc.  There is almost no chance that a MAC factory doesn't produce products for a less expensive brand and a more expensive brand.  No chance.  My company makes sears branded products and I don't work for sears.  And when you start rolling these companies up to the parent you find out that there are only a few real players in the industry.  Made by the same workers.  And often the same exact formulaShocked

I never understood the MAC hype here on BHM.  I guess since I had a rude experience at their counter once I never went back so that might explain my nonchalance about their products.

IA Kfoxx about Iman products.  I really like them and I hope I am contributing to Iman the model's wealth when I buy her products as opposed to just a yt owned corporation
