Jones, NYX lipstick is bomb. They have a lot of lipsticks that look great with Black skin tones.

Pluto is still one of my favorites.

I really like the Black Opal stick foundations. after trying them in the daylight. It looks very yellow at first but after applying and blending you should let it 'warm up' on your skin by letting it sit for about 10 min. The youtube reviewer said this and I thought she was playing until I tried it today.

Yes especially the Truly Topaz.  It warms up a lot compared to the application color.  That sh*t can throw you off with foundation.  A lot of times I'm guilty of hating it in 3 seconds.  I'm better now though and I usually wait until it is completely dry before judging the color.   Your skin, the amount of oil, ph, your temperature all have to settle and blend with the makeup.  Who knew?LOL
i tried the Black Walnut today and i was yellow and ashy Ouch...is the "warm up" supposed to be done before you add anything else on top?Cry

^Yes ma'am. Apply, blend then let it sit.

Awww@ yellow ashy face. Did you moisturize well before application aka moisturize the hell out of your faceLOL? You really can't get away with a light moisturizer using this stuff or it goes on 'rough'.

Zolloh, do you have a yellow or golden undertone? Maybe the undertone of that particular color is yellow, and clashes with your natural undertone.

I'm with Shady. It might be the wrong shade if it still appears ashy on moisturized skin.

Can you take it back to the store?
