Random, but do yall hate colorists as much as racists? I'm thinking of writing a term paper on some of these issues but it always amazes me how black people can loathe the racist but shake the hands of a colorist. Are they not both inherently praising whiteness?

For instance, today I found out Du Bois was a colorist...but it's never lambasted anywhere. It's just making me wonder why one is OK and the other is an abomination. Is it because some of us benefit from colorism but would find it impossible to be accepted under a racisst system?

Hmmmmm.....I don't know Alias. I have heard too many white people go on tangents on how they are too pale. When I go to beaches, the vast majority of white people are tanning. I don't know if they actually LOVE their color as much as they love the advantage their whiteness gives them. I agree with everything else you wrote.

Exactly and some people do not realize how powerful ideologies are and how dangerous they can be in the wrong hands. Check out the movie "Inception" it clearly shows how powerful an idea can be and how we all need strong filters for blocking out filth.
