So I did it.Pic of my DBO.
Ewwww look at my ends. I cut them suckers right off. I need to do a better job of protecting them though.

I did a protein treatment and deep conditioner before I went and the blowdry wasn't even hot at all not even a little and she used a heat protectant.
I had a good experience... We will see if I still say that after I wash it.

Thanks everyone!!!

She did a good job.  Did you happen to catch what kind of a blow dryer she used Big smile?  I would try out a DBO equivalent in my area but those people are hell on my hair.

It was purple with a black nozzle. And she used a round bristle brush to blowdry.

I'm so getting a weave cause I could get used to this.

Although You have done the DBo already this is for others that would like to do it. I used to be DBO queen. until I got tired and went natural. With natural hair you have to take your own products even a deep conditioner(some has relaxers) Take a Deep Conditioner, Heat Protectant,Conditioner, Sufate free shampoo. Once hair is wash etc. when they are detangling tell them to use a wide tooth comb if not tell them you will detangle it yourself. Once that is done use rollers only. Once your hair is dried tell them to add a little bit of a leave-in moisturizer/oil  and if you want the roots straight tell them to only blow your roots that's it wrap with bobby pins then a satin scarf and your hair should fall really nice when ever you wear it down. Smile

I just got one on Thursday and I am not sure if I like it or not. I will have to post back after wash day. I must say my hair feels like I have had a relaxer. I feel like I have NO HAIR in fact! I am surprised by the thinness of my hair. I am not sure if my hair is thin because of all the braids I've been wearing or because of DNA? I don't feel comfortable with this! I look like a different person Although everyone else says it looks nice its just straight no flavor

I'm glad I got it cause I couldn't decide if I needed a trim. But obviously I did.

job well done.  @darlinnic your hair doesn't look thin.   bantu knot or braid-out will look good.  if you can post pics of your styled hairWink

looks great! Glad they didn't flat iron it too. I think two forms of heat is more than enough.
