Of course, abuse is abuse - I am not denying that.

Nobody can tell your real identity in forums like this. Just like the women that post - a guy can easily login under a new name and tell his story and no one would ever know who he really was. So men do not have to publicly admit that they are being abused by a woman on these foruns.

Still I never hear the volume (well, I don't hear any men telling stories actually) of men talking about their abuse as I hear from women. I only read the zillions of stories about women stuck in the house with kids, no means of support, no skills to get work etc on this and a great number of forums that I have visited over the years.

Both men and women can be the target of abuse obviously but IMO women get the lions share of abuse by men worldwide. Always has been and always will be for a number of social issues. A lot of women live under a man's thumb.

This is because historically and traditionally women are raised to be dependant on a man. She is supposed to find someone to support her .. which IMO is the gateway to abuse because so many women are so eagar to then relinquiish their personal power to a man and so many men are eager to take advantege of this in the worse way. Ouch

Nonsense.

But geesh, I am not willing to belabor the point though.  I mean what are we arguing about for goodness sakes? I am done making my point.
