What products from shea moisture and herbal essence do you use?

The latter is so cheap. The combination of these two makes my hair so soft. It makes it so much easier to blow dry.

Actually, I've attempted to straighten it maybe 5 times since I've been natural. I was only successful once which was when I used these products for the first time a couple months ago. I was actually just planning to blow dry so my hair would be easier to part while I put in my box braids, but I noticed how soft my hair was so I went ahead and flat ironed too.

It was straight for a week then I did the braids. I don't really have time for hair. I'm in school and my program is intense so my hair is in braids 90% of the time. I have yarn braids right now. I still think that moisturizing products are good for your hair even you're wearing protective styling or to wear your hair in its kinky state.

Everytime I try to go to forum1 or 2 it goes right back to regular. I'm on my phone I don't know.

Uppity what tools do you use to 'comb' or smooth your hair, say to prep for a twistout?
The denman and tangle teezer are no longer friends of mine.

Our hair isn't the same but finger detangling works best for me and in the shower I use Babyliss scalp massage brush from Sallys:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003IQ1N4A/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=scalpmassage-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399369&creativeASIN=B003IQ1N4A

It's like $2 at Sallys.

I just use combs. I start with a wider one and work down to a narrower one. I always start with finger-combing though.
