yea i think so. I buy it fresh all the time and if you leave it long enough it will turn white. It takes a long time for it to go bad though. If you keep it covered you should be ok. Hope this helps

it does not expire but yes it can go rancid. but it has a long shelf life so if you store it in a cool place you should be able to use it for a year or tw0.

There is no need to refrigerate shea butter. It will only get hard & cold. You want your shea butter soft enough to apply to your skin. Shea butter should be stored like all other skin & hair products. In a cool dry place away from heat.

yea, you dont' have to put it in the fridge just not in the heat.

Water decreases the shelf life of shea butter so if you want it to last for several months keep it away from water.

I kept a big block of unrefined shea butter in my fridge for nearly 2 years.  I finally used it up recently but since I've become more of a fan of oils I will not be buying any more.

mine did... had lil black spores on it and everything.. scared the EFF outta me!!! i find that when i use it plain, its all good... i think i got my last bach in march and its still fine

i didnt know that.i know water makes it mold after a while..ive had shea butter sitting on my dresser since may and nothing hasnt happened
