I would like to use Sea Breeze on my scalp for itching but does this harm the weave in anyway? Would I be able to use it each week.  I have indian remy hair which has been highlighted.

I've been doing this for years and I have had all types of hair.  For me, this never did any damage or harm to my weave.  However, I only applied small squirts of the Seabreeze to my scalp when it itched.

Thanks SugaPlum...Wouldn't I squeeze out of a small bottle and then wash it out?

You're welcome.  Yes what I would open the top of the bottle (I guess you would call a "squitter spout") and I went through the weave, under the braid, and I squeezed some out.  I just let it run down my scalp and it felt sooooo good. LOL

i did sea breeze too until i started doing apple cider vinegar rinses.

i would squirt the sea breeze in after i shampooed.  very refreshing.  but i was scared it would dry my own hair out.

since that sea breeze application (it was last august- i only did it once) i started mixing about 2/3 cups of organic apple cider vinegar with spring water in a 16oz. squirt bottle.  i shampoo my hair as usual and then squirt the ACV into my scalp before i condition.  my head NEVER itches now.

the order is:

shampoo and rinse.
ACV and rinse
condition as usual

i do this every time i shampoo.  some people use the ACV at the end of the conditioner and don't rinse it out.  i have more success the other way.

I was also a little worried about using the seabreeze and its effect on my hair and the weave hair.   Another BHM member suggested witch hazel ... I was suffering with the worse weave itch and it solved the itching and cooled my scalp.

Witch hazel is like a toner that's good for dandruff, eliminating flyaways and can also be used as a setting lotion.   I use a tiny bit in the water for my caruso rollers with nice results.

I need to pick up some witch hazel. I would be a bit afraid of the alcohol in the Sea-Breeze.

The caruso gives bouncy padoowwwww curls with no heat ... girl you'll love it!

I'm a hypochondriac LOL and somehow I feel that the witch hazel keeps the caruso water from getting funky.

MissL - I haven't found the witch hazel to be drying either.
