Not weave but wearing a wig. Are you comfortable to say it's a wig or do you think people still only think you must be bald as a babies bottom to wear wigs?

Do you tell people it's a weave rather than wig when asked?

and most people just compliment my hair...they don't ask if it's a wig or a weave

No......Maybe weave but I don't know about wigs lol I can't see myself buying a wig.

when did the stigma start..i must have missed the boat any how i dont care. I wear what I want never cared what people thought or think. As long as my weave or wig looks official then who cares

I just remember in my teens, wigs were a no-no. Something old people wore. Nobody admitted wearing a wig, but would gladly say it's a weave (even when it was a wig)

Just wanted to know if perceptions of them had changed, esp with LF's etc.

I nevr wore wigs when I was a teen I wore fake ponytails tho. I would microwave the wefts and bobbypin it in my head. Microwave curls last forever if you don't go to a water park
