Nope, I've rarely seen anyone who didn't need it.

Maaan who am I to tell people what to wear and what not?
I used to be the chick with long relaxed hair but still wearing weave.
People used to tell me,"Your hair is so beautiful you don't need weave." "Why do you wear weave your hair is long." "You have long healthy (relaxed) hair but you hardly ever show it."
After my big chop I get sht comments like this:
""Are you going out in public like that?" "You still wear weave right? Good." "your hair is just so....nappy!" "Can I touch it?"

I can't win lol

I do tell my daughter she doesn't need a weave.

She's blasian and is angry because her hair isn't nappy enough so she wears kinky weave which is hard for her to manage so I am expected to style it. Unhappy

I never heard of this
Wish I hadn't, she gets on last nerve with her kinky curl weave. LOL

I love you for saying this. I know this is an unpopular POV, but that is how I feel too. I don't feel that pretty with it, but without...God help the world. LOL

Did see a employee at a Krogers I frequent often earlier today in which I did want to tell her she might want to give microbraids a rest because her braids started at her ears and not her hairline. Her edges were non-existent and the skin was smooth and bald where her edges should be.. Ouch

She usually keeps micros in her head though..

I have a friend like that! She wore micros for a ton of years and her edges are smooth and shiny.Once this happens .. that means the hair is gone for good. She will need transplants .. but she just walks around like that so ...

I another friend is 35 and from Nigeria and has worn log mircros since she was 15. Her natural hair is stunted in growth around the edges (never grows) and that rest of her hair is all different lengths from 1 to 4 inches. That's all her hair has grown in 15 years!

Nope neither one takes care of their hair.  Terrible.Ouch

I have many, many stories like this. OMG.

I told my friend to take her weave out because it was THAT terrible. She glued it in so badly that it looked like a £5 wig. I don't even get why she wore it tbh, her is nice and thick.

Random people though...nah, I'm not that rude.
