well nobody really buys me gifts except for my dh and i just have him return the items i do not like.

but in theory---no i guess not.

i have never regifted bc idk....i can find a use for most things. even once.

wait--lie my dh bought me this ugly ass purse and i gave it to my 8 year old sister. which i told him aboutDead

eta: what are u trying to regift OP? too big pants? did you not get gift receipts? this is why people should give give receipts.

i have regifted before.  i received a food gift basket from someone xmas 2011.  it was full of really nice treats but things i just do not eat and will not eat.  there's no point in letting someone's money go to waste.  i would rather pass it off to someone who will actually enjoy it.

I know its the thought that counts and i appreciate the gifts but theey will just sit in my house and I don't want to throw them out it's either i regift or donate them.

I don't as long as whatever it is hasn't been opened or used and the person doesn't know it's regifted.

For me:

I don't like it.
I would rather the person gave me nothing.
I was so hurt when I found out a gift from someone close was a regift.

I don't give to get a gift in return; so it was hurtful that the person thought they had to give me something that someone intended for them just because I gave them a gift.

If it's things I don't want or need, I'll just give it to someone but not say it's a gift. Like I'll just say "I got 2 bread machines as gifts, you need one?" or "someone gave me these earrings and I don't like them, but they look like you." But I always let it be known that someone gave it to me so they don't think I got it for them.

I'm kinda weird about gifting tho.LOL
