his ability to bring home a paycheck?
his personality?

im curious bc of this whole "strong/id need a man" black woman stereotype

And it's not like yesman compliments, as the Virgo in me has no problem telling him the truth whether it hurts or not, but if he's doing it and doing it and doing it well, I want him to know.
 
I want him to know so he can understand what I like, and to encourage him to keep it up.
 
I compliment it all, from what he's wearing, to wit, to voice, to eyes, to smile, to d*ck game, to ability to make me see God twice in one f*cking, to skills in the kitchen, etc.
 
But, as I said, if something's lacking, I will speak up about that too.
 
Can't enjoy the sunshine without a little rain sometimes.

i like reading Ladies Home Journal section about marriages and i remember the counselor advised a lot of the women to compliment their husbands.  so many women just never do it.

yeah when I had one lol

I loved the way  he smelled, so i commented on it a lot... or sh*t like "you look good". And other things that werent explicitly compliments, but that got the point across.
