Yes, I do! that is something I've had to work on over the years. But I see that it makes a big difference.

I loved that too. Thanks for sharing BB. You are a great example of what marriage is, growing together, learning what the other needs, being there when they really need it.

well do you?and what type of compliments? are they about his looks? his dack work? his ability to bring home a paycheck? his personality?
im curious bc of this whole "strong/id need a man" black woman stereotype |
If /when I had a boyfriend I would compliment him on his looks, his d!ck, how amazing he is in bed and how great he is as a person. The money thing isn't something I would compliment a guy on because I would be afraid he would misinterprets me and think I am interested in his money.

in my culture, after you woman or man lays it down on you you have to give a shout out to them and go down the whole 'poem' where you thank his or her bloodline and totem |

Honestly I realized how much I DIDN'T compliment my husband when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's a few years ago. Now I compliment him all the time bc it's so important to keep his morale high because his spirits get low pretty often. It's something I wish I had done more of earlier, because sometimes it seems like I'm overdoing it.
Get into the habit!
