So no, I do not think people are beyond help, but those who like to cast judgement all the time probably they are.

I think that everyone can be helped, but sometimes the amount of support and guidance one needs is far beyond what family or professionals can provide. I think that people with emotional and social disabilities are the worst off. You can never really recover from trauma, especially if it was as a child.

I do feel some people are hopeless, but that's in rare cases where the person is some kinda sociopath and genuinely had no regard for life, our people in general. They're wired not to care, and I don't believe in jeopardizing other's lives hoping to rehabilitate them.

When it comes to these types of behaviors one thing that can help immensely that i've witnessed personally......is a change of environment.  People that I know that came out of destructive lifestyles had to leave the old neighborhood and people behind.  Folks can better "receive" the help if they don't have pressures from folks still in the game.   Folks stilll in the sh*t 99% of the time don't want to see people leave and get their sh*t together.   When it comes to "rehabiliation" relocation should be a part of it. That way....it will be a concious choice if you go back to the old neighborhood....it's your decision...and u can't put it on anyone else why u failed.

I hope that made sense. Pardon any typos.  I can't seem to think straight right now.

I am a spiritual person...and I think that some people are so far gone that only god can save them.
and for the people who have experienced severe trauma, I don't think they can recover, but they can cope.

Why are you so angry?
People have different opinions, no need to blow a gasket like someone slapped your mother.
If you think everyone can be rehabilitated then that's fine. Dont be disrespectful to other people's opinions.
You're too damn old for that.

I agree to an extent but imo, the person would need to cut off all forms of contact with his negative lifestyle. Old Friends, and maybe even some family as well as changing locations. Those ties have a way of pulling people back in, i've seen it too many times...
