Adam Lanza needed extreme help, but no one was trying to see his psychology. Everybody has mental limits and the human mind deteroiates to a certain level or hasn't used a certain part of their brain like empathy(it's a cognitive part of the brain) than it isn't strong as for someone who is very empathetic. In the US we value the worker bee concept and it is proving time and time again it's against our humanity to behave like an insect.

So what you are saying is that if an exercise was created to strengthen the part of the brain that contains empathy, the person could "learn" to be empathetic and therefore the chances of them committing serious crimes would be reduced? Applying this to say a person like Adam Lanza.

The brain neurons continually grow and become better and stronger if it's practice. If you watch the video I posted it would go in great detail of this process. For example, if you sucked in math and continually do better and do harder problems and really dedicate yourself, your brain will start processing logical computations better and better. I know math teachers who sucked in math while younger and now a wiz in math. Same thing with empathy it's not a philosphy or an ideology. It's a cognitive part of your brain in your prefrontal cortex and it is usually the last to develop in the human brain. That's why children are not really empathetic when they are young. So if you learn how to be empathetic and really work on it, the neurons would essentially strengthen it's self. The brain has a lot of self fixing mechanisms and depending on the user and what they allow in their brain and the thoughts that are processed and controlled and a good 8 hour sleep everyday to allow your subconcious to fix itself. It's what you plug in your brain and allow what information to be process.

Yes, some ppl are beyond help...many will never receive the type of help they actually need so sometimes it's not fair to say they're beyond help...
Some mothers should stop trying to be noble and opt for the abortion.
