You know you go to a black church when one of the pastors announces he's leaving the church because everybody has gossiped so much about him messing around with church members and his wife starts drama with the people he messes with instead of confronting him.

You know you're in a black church when you're told you can't be in the christmas/family night/black history month/etc show if you insist on wearing your hair in an afro and not straightened like everyone else.

You know you're in a black church when you happen to wear something with your greek letters and get pulled aside for prayer and get hands laid on you.

Oh my gosh! I have never understood the "member monopoly mentality". Visit more than once and you are pressured to join. Visit another church and you have to identify your clique. If you are not cliqued up the initiation process begins.....
