I purchased Liquid Gold Green Magic. Started applying it last night.
I like that it is more of a balm vs oil.. so I can control the application to my scalp much better.

I still use Megatek from time to time, but when I used it consistently mixed with sulfur and I believe olive oil I didn't experience any additional hair growth, but I agree with the above poster about having a healthy diet and added vitamins to supplement.

Eating right is great but that is only half of the battle. If a person is eating right, that does not mean they are getting all of the nutrients their body needs. And when the body is not getting all the right nutrients the body will use up the most important nutrients for our vital organs, and your hair and nails will get what is left over, if anything is left over. You can eat right, but not cook it right, so no matter how many veggies you are eating if you are cooking them, you are not getting the full nutrients, because you have cooked out the vitamins when you broil or steam your veggies. Also if you are eating right, but not washing your hair enough or keeping your hair combs cleaned on a weekly basis, then you can still catch a fungus even though you are eating right. You can be eating right and have high blood pressure or an autoimmune disease, these things will effect your hairs growth, no matter if you are eating right or not. So yes eating right is half the battle but add to that healthy techniques and sometimes products that assist you also. Remember not all vegetarians have long healthy hair, but many of them eat better than the average person.

I agree!!! I have an autoimmune disease (thyroidism) and I take supplements to help with the balance of when I don't eat right and for when I do.

I don't use growth aids at least for growth. I do own MTG but the only time I use it is when I have a terrible case of the itchies. It takes care of the itchies. I don't use it often though. Grace & Blessings, ~Moonglow

I was using Hairfinity and really liked it. Now I'm just using biotin, msm, folic acid and a multi-vitamin. I also have a bottle of Hair Trigger that I have yet to really try. For me I think oral growth aids make the most difference.

I still use oral and topical growth aids. I have just began journalizing what I use so that I can monitor growth/improvement if any. I take an arsenal of supplements, many for their potential to accelerate hair growth. Additionally, I apply topical growth aids on my hair. The disadvantage to this approach is not knowing which (if any) of the growth aids would be responsible for increased hair growth (if any). Another consideration is that the various supplements may deliver other benefits to my body and health. For example more energy, my skin is so soft, supple and clear - even I am amazed. The multi-vitamin, pre-natal, biotin, or vitamin C could be responsible for my skin, or maybe all combined. Not to mention benefits which I may not even realize (fighting high blood pressure, fungus, bacteria, etc. ) Another school of thought is: Could one supplement be contraindicating (cancelling) one or more of the other supplements or their ingredients? I plan to take a more focused approach to taking supplements and using growth aids in the months to come. I've already reduced my topical growth aid to one aid. I will use this aid for 6 months and monitor progress. If I don't see any, I will move to the next. As far as oral growth aids the only supplement I will consider eliminating is the pre-natal vitamin. It has overlap with my multi-vitamin. But if it delivers a mineral, vitamin or amino acid that I'm not getting from something else. It stays. The end goal is to have a well-thought out regimen (oral and topical) that will not vary from month to month.
