Ironically, I just purchased the Spike Lee Collectors DVD set. I'm watching Clockers (for the first time! now). It has a few of his movies (Crooklyn, Clockers, Jungle Fever, Mo Better Blues, and Do The Right Thing). I've only seen Crooklyn, Jungle Fever, Malcolm X, and Do The Right Thing. I've liked them all, well all that I've seen.

Loved Jungle Fever, probably my favorite because it touched on a lot of issues in the movie; drug abuse, interracial relationships, colorism, racism, religion. also i think Samuel L. Jackson played the hell outta Gator...loved his crackhead dance

I believe I've only seen Malcolm X and Crooklyn. So I'll go with Crooklyn.

Denzel's performance as Malcom didn't blow you away? I think he deserved an Oscar for this performance. Instead I think they gave it to Al Pacino for "Scent of a Woman" when all he did in that movie was shout OOhAhhh! OOAhhh! Ridiculous. I like Al but that wasn't that great a performance. But I guess Hollywood is not too keen on hearing about black militants

I'm not saying that movie wasn't amazing. I just hate the reality of it. IA...I liked Scent of a woman but Pacino's performance definitely wasn't anywhere near Denzel's in MX...

I hated Jungle Fever because it had a typical odd Spike Lee ending.
