I have love for Spike Lee

I may not always agree with what he says or find his films appealing but may of his movies have been like love letters to the African American community. When you consider his body of work, you can tell he cares deeply about his people

Denzel's performance as Malcom didn't blow you away? I think he deserved an Oscar for this performance. Instead I think they gave it to Al Pacino for "Scent of a Woman" when all he did in that movie was shout OOhAhhh! OOAhhh! Ridiculous. I like Al but that wasn't that great a performance. But I guess Hollywood is not too keen on hearing about black militants

That's why I think the current criticism over Django has got to sting... Hollywood never really recognized him but in film circles, it's admitted that he was influencial. It's just that white america wasn't ready for him

Yeah, that wasn't a good one. He's had missteps for sure. But when he's good, he is so good
