Okay I recently cut two wigs with Razor Combs and noticed that the hair now has split ends. One wig was made with Bobbi Boss hair and the other with "Virgin" Brazilian hair. Do you think it was the razor comb or that the hair had split ends before cutting and I just didn't notice it?

Could depending how the razor comb was used. If the razor comb was used in one direction then there shouldn't be any split ends but if the razor was used in a chopping motion then the end can be jagged.   Also dull blades can be the culprit in causing split ends.

Thanks! I know I cut the 1st one using a choppy motion and the blade was probably dull on the 2nd one (I was being cheap and didn't feel like driving to the store to spend $3).

Maybe you could give the hair a minor trim using sharp cutting shears.

I'm not sure if its split ends but it certainly does something to the shaft of the hair and causes tangling problems.

Cheap razors/shears will definitely cause split ends. Invest in a quality set and get them sharpened as needed.

Razors and razor combs, even under the best of circumstances, most definitely cause split ends.  It is generally not that big of a deal if you keep the ends trimmed up continuously.
