This is true. I however did not say blacks who see this are sell outs or don't know history. I think it's disrespectful to our race which is why I don't understand the black support.

that may not have been your intent.
but thats what it shows up as.

when you cosign a faux outrage...
or question/liken someones disapproval of a movie to some sort of it trend.. rather than their simple choice not to see it.

baby's post was wrong.. IMO
as was the other's who had something neg. to say about her choice.

I downloaded the movie and couldn't believe how inauthentic it was.

Don Johnson was the only one who actually was believable.

And the worst of it all is that white people all over think that "n*gger fightin'" is a made up phenomena. But then again, they never used black babies as bait for alligators.

This is why you don't let someone like Tarantino make a movie about slavery. He overly fantasizes everything he does and slavery is not a fantasy.

thats how i read from the both of you saying its a lot of faux outrage.

i just can understand why ppl are outraged about this movie.. it doesn't have to be faux.

I didn't watch it for authenticity I don't expect that from any movie about any subject.

I do remember blacks being made to fight in a novel I read by a black author.

Let me think let me think

Edit had to google :
Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison

Yeah him so it's not like its a new concept.
Lets not give QT so much credit

You may be referring to Ralph Ellison but Frederick Douglas referenced it in his autobiography.

As for authenticity, if an actor is playing a character especially within a particular era or country, I expect him or her to excel in their craft and convince me that they are whoever the character is supposed to be.

Thank god I didn't pay for that piece of bunk.
