Disappearing LENGTH over time?

Again, I stretched the hair when measuring.   This is so weird to me, esp when I look at pics from a few years ago. I love my Wags NC (obviously, they've gotten almost a mortgage payment from me in the last 4 yrs),but this disappearing length doesn't make sense.   Anyone else experience this or are aware of this happening?   i know exactly what you mean.. i just recently ordered another bundle to add to my wags nc from 2008 because it appears that i have lost some length overtime... but hey, i dont mind having to add lost length when my hair has given me 5 years.. hopefully it will give me 5 more lol  Hey Tami .

I noticed this with some of the older pieces in my stash. I think its a combo of the longer hairs shedding and some breakage. I also tend to trim the hair a bit when installed to have a fuller (though not blunt) look on the ends. After a few installs I have to supplement and move those pieces to the top.

I haven't posted in about 2 years but I'm back. When I joined I was in the lace wig section but after a month I went back to my classic sew in weave, which I've been doing for about 25 years now. I lurked occasionally but only to get the latest and greatest tips. I had the same experience with Wags. Ordered about 15 ounces last year and have reinstalled it over and over adding a few extras from the same stash overtime. I recently noticed that the hair that started off at 18 inches is now almost shoulder length 10 to 14 inches. I thought I was crazy until my daughter mentioned how short my hair was looking, then I saw thread. Also, the hair is now looking dry and full of split ends. I believe I have the perfectress natural body. Won't be going down that road again, I got good use of it but time for another vendor. Wags is off my list.

I don't believe that Wags hair is the issue. Like some other posters said, it happened w/other vendors and it makes sense when you think about it. Unlike our own hair that is constantly growing, usually (hopefully), faster than it's breaking, weave/wig hair isn't growing so it will get shorter.In my case, same hair for 4 YEARS, I'm def not complaining! lol. I just never thought about it and it seemed so sudden.
