I have been having this issue where I come out of the shower still feeling dirty and in fact I am dirty.  My son is the same way.  I have switched soap from Irish Spring to Lever 2000 but I am getting tired of having to go back over myself with alcohol just to get all the dirt off me.  Any suggestions on soaps that really pull off the dirt and that nasty film that just wont quit.

for my shower i just use a regular soap.  like irish spring or something that smells nice.

but i first wash with an exfoliating glove

and then using a white wash cloth i wash again.

i use to do the same thing as you go over my body with alchol but i dont need to do that any more now that i use the gloves.

Ok, thanks.  I'll have to get a glove or at least exfoliate with sugar or something in the shower before I wash up.  Anyone else have any suggestions.

I wonder if oiling my body down prior to showering once or twice a week will help.  The reason I say this is because I can remember back in the day that people would essentially clean their babies with oil by applying a generous amount, letting is soak in and then wiping off the excess and then the dirt would come off too---what little dirt babies have.

You should try baking soda its cheap and can be used for a variety of things.  It can be used for whitening teeth, clarifying hair, facial scrubes, and yes body scrub and it leaves the skin soft and clean. Just make it into a paste(with water) and apply to skin---there you have it clean soft skin.

So, I tried the baking soda.  it really does work.  I got all wet in the shower first then turned off the water and scrubbed with the baking soda.  Then I washed up as usual.  That stuff is a miracle.  Thanks ladies.  I am not sure if I have hard water or soft water or what but I wasn't happy with feeling like all of a sudden I wasn't clean after the shower.
