Hello ladies, I'm sorry to bust anyone's bubble- but these diets out her- atkins, counting carbs are limited time solutions. magazines and commercials will show you these celebs with all there plastic surgery and a scedule that permits them to go to the gym and a budget that permits them to buy foods that are part of this diet. In my opinoin there are a very few things to keep you in shape and toned.

1. Quit being lazy- we're all victim to it- we'd rather drive around for ten miutes to find a park then to get out and walk. I know people that catch the elevater up one or two floors. Things like that will keep you out of shape

2. Cook- you don't nessarily have to cook things on your that diets tell you to cook just don't eat the same thing every day. Try to include all sorts of different food in there, bake instead of fry. cook for other people- trust me this will burn some calories and if you don't know how to cook- now would be a good time to learn.

3. Go outside on your free time- enjoy some perosnal time to yourself when it's nice outside and walk as far as you can and just think.. Think about all the things you can do to make yourself happy.

4. Don't stress- stressing leads to eating a whole lot of junk

After you do these things- you'll feel good about yourself- you'll look in the mirror and like what you see.

Those are good tips ksugar!

I'm not on Atkins, but I think it's more of a lifestyle change than an actual diet. Same with South Beach, the Zone, Weight Watchers, Jenny Jones etc...

Canadiana, sometimes I swear you can read my mind! I echo the "Lifestyle Change" as opposed to "diet." It's about changing to a healthier life in general

Kudos to all with this goal!!!!!!!

Ksugar,
Good point I have been trying to explain this to my relatives for years. Unless you plan on eating that why the rest of your life, then it would not be in your best interest to even start these diets.
