Weather is the worst. It is very depressing. Summertime is beautiful, though. Nightlife is the worst too. Lots of ratchets.

yes, across the board, not just AA. But the canadians, caribbean, african, & european blacks too. I notice that some only defend their own kind. Stick up for the haitian just like you will an AA. |
that was the issue with sexyandfamous. ALL of us have been through it and if anyone should be empathetic twd what we go through as black people, it should be other black people...regardless of borders. u can't expect AA's to not take offense.

There is a difference between trivial bickering between each other and working to rebuild that black community and having a united front.
The minor bickering on an online forum is whatever if we are still working toward the bigger goal
But I notice this is something you like to say though .

I say it because its true. The trivial bickering over serious topics at time come from somewhere unless you're suggesting that ppl are only saying things just to be saying it and don't truly feel that way. Trivial bickering stands in the way of rebuilding the black community in various ways...

Naw it doesnt have to
Trivial bickering happens and it doesnt have to speak for the bigger issues whatsoever.
Everything everywhere all the time is not gonna be kumbaya but if there is solid community then things will be fine but too many people want to be "different".
For example, Me and my sisters bicker over stupid stuff and it means nothing.

Thats different tho... the relationship you have with your sister isnt the same relationship you have with strangers. If the bickering stems from something you feel strongly about it can influence your judgement. I agree that everything everywhere wont be kumbaya but many ppl dont "want" to be different, we just are different and that is reflected in our various cultures and norms and it shouldn't be brushed off as simply wanting to be "separate from the herd". The idea that too many want to be different is what I mean by how bickering over trivial things influences perception and progression.

No , what I mean by different is many do not want to be apart of the community and find ways to escape whats left of it.
Youre still thinking about minor differences tbh.
Im talking about the major issues that connect us all together.
If youre talking about ish like hair color, music choice, and all that trivial stuff thats not what Im refering too at all.
Even between the black diaspora we are different and those differences should be highlighted and retained. But there are still issues that we can come together on.
Im not able to respond back like how i want to but I disagree with most of what youre saying, I dont think we're speaking from the same angle
