What's your definition of "positive"?
I believe this thread is positive despite the fact that we're not all arguing for the same point Btw.. what have I said that's insulting (assuming you were referring to me)? Be specific
Disagreeing with your opinion does not make one "insulting"
|
I was speaking in general about discussions and how they apply to most threads on here. My definition of positive is at the very least a mutual understanding with out claims that ppl who differ are lost are not seeing the bigger picture simply because they don't see it the way you( you being anyone) do. Where opinions are seen as just that and not facts. I never said disagreeing was insulting, an opposing argument is needed for debate.

That sh*t irks the hell out of me to see Brothas putting the cape on for that hipster cracker.
His ass just wanted another excuse to use the word "ni99er" in a film. And a movie set in the 1800s was the perfect cover.
| I can't believe I'm agreeing with you but that's exactly my
problem. It's a f*cking ruse and nobody is willing to call him out for
it. You know many actors will go on record (even if it isn't true) and
say they don't feel comfortable using the word. QT doesn't even
apologize for it. He revels in it. I find that disgusting. And then at
the same time underhandedly insults the very people he's marketing.
He
doesn't think there is anything wrong with selling dolls of slaves but
he thinks selling slaves are wrong? Can anyone see the underlying
message here? I didn't know blacks were this frigging gullible after all
they know about history.
Did he sell Inglorious Bastard dolls of murdered Jewish people? No he did not.
Someone
needs to repost the Black History thread to remind folk they indeed can
be prideful and don't need QT fighting our battles with his off colored
lenses.

There were Inglorious Bastards action figures.

I mean having action figures means that the film was just for entertainment purposes and nothing more then that. Idk I can't take Django seriously forreal.

They're collector items and the slaves were main characters in the film...He did have "dolls" for Inglorious Bastards....but none of the murdered jewish ppl in that film were main characters. Unlike in Django. Im not sure who in here is looking for QT to fight any battles for them they are just looking at the flim for what it is.

The "Black pass" comment is tongue-in-cheek because, obviously, it doesn't exist, literally lol
However, you'd be hard press to find a Black person who doesn't think that the Black collective, at times, gives leeway to some non-Black persons to do and say things we might normally find offensive because they are generally liked by the Black populace
For example, Nas and 'em sticking up for Gwenyth Paltrow
So while it doesn't really exist b/c Black people are not monolith and often have disagreements as to who can get away with what, there are people within the Black populace that extend certain privileges and liberties to non-Black people
in other words... i was joking to make a point

What does it mean to give someone a pass?
All of the above mentioned people got a ton of criticism from black people. On BHM and around the world. Or is it because a few black celebs are cool with them, then every black person in America is giving them a pass?
|
| then from here on in bury this bastard argument 'black pass'
