Agreed,
I think it's okay to have concepts already mapped out as it's not
strange for women to consider what type of wedding they want way before
they ever enter a serious relationship. But actually booking a
band/buying a dress/etc when you have no actual prospect in sight is
jumping the gun.

Kudos to her that everything ended up working out, but she could have been left looking like a huge damn fool. Ouch

And if I was a guy, I'd be a bit creeped out.

why?

Lots of women have that fantasy wedding in their head. She just put hers down on paper. Just look at half the post on Pinterest. I bet most of those people are not even engaged.

I don't think it's a bad thing. Hell, I've started planning out quite a few things I would like to incorporate into my future wedding if I ever do get married. Albeit I wouldn't go as far as actually BOOKING stuff like she did until I am actually engaged and have an idea of a wedding date.

right, I think it's practical. She wanted to get married, knew she would one day , so she did the leg work ahead of time.

I see nothing wrong with it. It no doubt reduced the stress of the actual wedding so they could just enjoy that time and think about the other aspects of their future married life.

I'd just be afraid of having a generic wedding.  I also hope she puts as much time and research into the things that matter like saving for retirement and college funds.  LOL  That's what would be in my "Life" binder.

Nothing wrong with having a few details planned--like color scheme, size, cost budgeting...but she had everything down to the band? Obsessive much? Pinch

Definately don't think that's healthy thing to do mentally.  She's lucky she did find someone, otherwise we'd read about it 10 years from now about a 10k cat wedding she financedLOL
