 Topic: Denman brushes

Do you ladies use them? How do i choose a Denman brush? I have very tight, coarse, porous hair and I'm seriously considering big chopping soon after nearly a year of transitioning. So which would you recommend? How many rows, etc?

if you have any hair schools near you , i think they could help also what are you using to moisturize your scalp i have a tip i used that may help

Get the Denman D3 brush. I use it and my sister uses it for her hair and her daughter. It's a great brush. I take out the rows based on what I want it to do for my hair. If it's super tangled, I take a few rows out. Really though if you have a light enough hand and take your time it doesn't matter how many you use.
If your hair is super tight and course, don't detangle to often. Once or twice a week should be fine if you wear stretched styles. I have very fine textured strands and a medium/tight curl pattern. Every few days is alright, especially if I wear twists.

i love my denman. I think its the one with 7 rows. My hair is fine but very very dense, i felt like wide tooth combs werent doing anything. I know im a naturally heavy shedder so when i use my denman i get all that shed hair out so they wont cause future tangles.

I use different things. I don't have a regimen yet. I need to do some major research.

I have a Denman and I believe it's the D3. I generally have a hard time detangling and it's usually a struggle and frightening process. Especially because I feel like every single time I detangle I'm severely fcking up my hair.
So far I've only used it twice since I've gotten it, and I got it last friday. The first time, I barely used it, but the second time, I went through my head and did little sections first going through with a wide tooth comb and then the denman. I had to keep spraying my head, the more wet it was the more easier it was to get through.
The Denman did do a good job detangling my hair though.

I have a D3...I don't take any rows out. If I start at the ends in medium sized sections I can detangle my hair pretty easily. I like using it to smooth my hair into a pony

I have a denman idk what kind but I loved it.....I used it on 5 different hair types and it did great in all of them
