I tried to DC with Suave Humectant and ended up with water in the cap.

Yes, as soon as I find my deep condish (which is currently in a big a$s box mixed with shoes, clothes, and cookies) I'll go back to using it. Big%20smile

I use the suave coconut because it is thin enough to get down to my roots.  Most of the time I leave it on a few minutes before I leave to work.  Sometimes I leave it on for an hour if I have time.  No negative results either way.  HTH

i have a question too. and i dont want to post a whole new topic.
okay, so my question is what is the 'build up' you can get from using suave too often?
is it oil? dirt?! please explain.

i'm just gonna take a guess and say cones and/or heavy moisturizers cause the build-up + then may trap natural or otherwise oil

Clarifiers. I'd say use that about once a month. Shampoo does the trick for me most of the time.

I usually just add olive oil to my suave when I want to use it as a dc. It works fine for me. . .
