I used to live in NMB. People would walk up to me speaking Creole, and get mad when I said I was American and didn't speak it. I swear they used to look at me like, "What you doing here then" LMAO.

Huh, ok... It's all about eyes... there's no point in going on about this, it's like trying to get white people to understand that the post-racial society ain't there yet. I guess folks can't understand something that doesn't affect them directly

everything is not that deep. you're bringing in past ba.gg.age to make it deeper than it is. the question came from a lack of knowledge...not from hate. black people can't even be curious about their own people? what is okay to ask?

Well she didn't say all, she said most. Maybe she should have said many. Tbh I learned about the Dominican mindset from Dominicans on bhm. Before I never knew. The Dominican who used to do my hair was part Haitian. And the treatment of Haitians in the DR cannot be ignored. Tbh I refuse to vacation in the DR for that reason.

That line is so funny to me. I get it from white folks all the time. If I'm trying to explain to you why something might be viewed as ignorant and you tell me that "I'm making it deeper than it is", do you not see the irony in that?

They will NEVER EVER get my money. I'll go to Saudi Arabia and Yemen before I go there. I'm always pissed when I hear of haitians vacationing there.
