NJ....who is it that is telling white women with curly hair that its ugly, nappy, and unacceptable? white women do not have to deal with the things black women do in regards to their hair. Nothing close to it. Are these white women who choose to straighten/otherwise alter their hair, shamed into doing it? feel pressed to do it by society? come now. (not saying all black women relax for these reasons)
White women do not have our issues to deal with, when it comes to hair.

ha!

that is literally the only response I have.  I am not sure why CurlyNikki was sold to "survive." It was a damn blog.

BUT I saw a white woman on...blackgirlcurly? or blackgirllonghair--some popular hair blog that features people and I was not here for it. I stopped frequenting.

The older I get the more I crave spheres that are just for black women. I have no problem with white women but often I am just trying to hang with my hitters.

It's like when FashionBombDaily started showcasing white women....like Claire---white people don't need your damn blog.  I go on there to see what black and/or Hispanic women are wearing not what Diane Crueger wore....like I can find that anywhere.

Black people are always trying to be inclusive, and whites are always trying to exclude.

I remember years ago  someone recommended  NC.com for curly hair product tips. I was shocked when I realized it wasn't a black site. I didn't hang around to ask ...

eta: never heard of op site but it's a shame.

Did I say that we were suppose to comfort them? No....However saying the experience of white women when you know none is just as inaccurate as yt talking about the black experience.....I commented because unlike most people in this thread I have white clients that I have actually relaxed and clients that grew up using curly perm without rods to straighten hair......white women have similar complexes about their hair......its not as bad as our complexes....not at all....but it exist.
