All growing up my mom had 4b/4c hair like me. Well about 3 years ago something drastic happened and her hair fell out. I found out she relaxed her hair right after she colored it... or colored it right after she relaxed it (either or)... so thats why her hair fell out. Well since then her hair has been growing back in a 3c even a 3b in the back and on the sides. I never remembered her hair like that and now she can just wet it and go. It will have that silky curly shiny wet look. Has this happened to anyone else??

a friend of mine cut her daughter hair blad and the texture changed and my aunt who had brain surgery hair texture changed so it can happen. it's said hair texture change every 7yrs but don't think it's a major change.

my hair used to be a very thick 4a

it's now a fine 3b with 2a/b nape.

Seemed to change when I started using only all-natural products.

My curl pattern is a bit looser, but I've been doing henna for 2 years.

lol I'm lyin'. They've 'loosened' up some in some areas so instead of tight corkscrews all over they're 'S' shaped in some areas due to length.

when i started to  use products that worked well for my hair...and started to learn my hair, my coils were enhanced...not changed, but definitely enhanced.  i follow a modified curly girl method... and only use all natural products.

Mine is looser as well.  I thought it was b/c of a combination of:
longer length
age 
wearing 2 strand twists the majority of the time
moisterizing my hair more frequently (the drier it is the curlier it gets)--biggest factor
