So, I went to the barber about a week ago to get an edge up and nothing else. I wanted to make sure I looked clean, now I look a hot mess. I am really trying to grow my hair out and its been about 2 1/2 months since I started. I just go weekly like I said to get an edge up. It looked good, until about 3 days later. Is there a way I can save the hair I have already grown and fix my hairline? Also I've been doing the LOC method and it was working great at first, but now my hair feels dry within 20 minutes of application. I am lost right now even after doing a lot of research. Thanks for any advice you guys have. PLZ don't laugh at this jacked up hair line lol

EDITED To show what products I'm using: I use Optimum Salon Haircare 6-in-1 Miracle Oil, Cantu Shea Butter Daily Oil Moisturizer, and Organic Root Stimulator Deep Conditioning, and literally just used all of my Motions Moisture Plus Conditioner. As for shampoo, I use Acure Shampoo Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil for dry/damaged/curly hair. I bought some Men's Natural Style by FUBU 3-in-1 Pomade which I will be using when the Cantu is gone(which will be very soon)

Allow your harline to grow back . My husband hair grows slow also . Purchase a good conditoner and sit with a plasic cap for a few hours . Invest in a good doo rag and wave brush . I think a wave kit would make your hair look better . HTH

I have both the wave brush and the doo rag. I was using them up until about 2 weeks ago because my hair was getting kinda long and thick so i didnt think it would even work after it got to a certain length. So i began to do nothing to it but LOC and stopped brushing. I may comb it every now and then to prevent it from kinking up

You should learn how to cut your own hair . Start over with the right person if possible . GL

Let it grow and pick your hair out. Did you change your products? What are you using to LOC? If you want your hair line to grow back fast watch videos on YouTube of men using monistat as a grow aid to see if that's something you would consider.

I honestly don't think Monistat grows hair?? LOL unless you have some sort of fungal infection on your scalp! I don't think your hairline looks so bad you could just spray it till it grows back is so its not as bold

I have tried cutting my hair in the past and I was told I looked like a cancer patient. So, I'm not trying to go around looking jacked up! I can not be my own guinea pig again! haha

I'm sorry about these double posts! I'm still trying to figure this site out. Wayy different than forums I used in the past.
I use Optimum Salon Haircare 6-in-1 Miracle Oil, Cantu Shea Butter Daily Oil Moisturizer, and Organic Root Stimulator Deep Conditioning, some literally just used all of my Motions Moisture Plus Conditioner. As for shampoo, I use Acure Shampoo Moroccan Argan Stem Cell + Argan Oil for dry/damaged/curly hair.
