The Ultra Super CRAZY GROWTH Overload Challenge! and the goal is to try to get 3 inches in 3 months!!
Timeline... - opening : january 1, 2013
- closing : march 31, 2013
Rules... to get all those inches, we're combining multiple growth practices into one challenge! consider this a hair growth boot camp, hahaha. the number one rule is to not be lazy. the second is to do your best, and not get discouraged. pick a minimum of 6 of the listed practices for better growth. growth aid usage is mandatory. - use at least one growth aid 3x a week
- protective style 20/7
- dust once a month ( not the ends )
- ghe at night 2x a week
- massage your scalp 3x a week
- take a growth supplement regularly
- cleanse scalp thoroughly 1-2x a week
- maintain ph of scalp by doing acv rinses every wash
- baggy ends an hour a day
everyone must also eliminate breakage by the best of there abilities by keeping up a their hair's moisture/protein balance. heat styling tools such as blow-drying and flat-ironing are prohibited! you can live without them for 3 months. and no trimming either! if you need one, try to get it done before this challenge starts. post an update post at least four times a month. after the 3 months and everyone posts their last picture, everyone will vote to see who wins the following categories: Shaggy to Silky (3rd, most improved condition), Thin to Thickest (2nd, most improved density), & Runt to Rapunzel (1st, most improved length). the prizes are everyone's praises and envies!

- amla deep cleanse and castile for clarifying;
- hairveda sitrinillah, ao honeysuckle rose, and shescenit avocado for conditioning;
- henna, shescentit banana brulee, and amla powder for strengthening;
- roux porosity and acv for porosity correcting;
- hairveda whipped creme and mane n tail detangler for moisturizing;
- vatika frosting and cocasta shikakai for sealing and prepooing;
- sulfur, jbco, and mn for growing and thickening;
- fantasia ic serum and grape seed oil for heat protecting;
- && multivitamin, omega 3 fish oil, and garlic supplements for overall health.
- prepoo at least half hour before every wash;
- shampoo every 2 weeks;
- cowash in between shampoos if hair needs it;
- clarify when needed;
- henna gloss and roux porosity when needed;
- deep condition every wash;
- steam using turban towel & hooded dryer;
- acv final rinse after every deep conditioning;
- t-shirt drying method;
- scarf method and bantu knots under hooded dryer, when new growth gets long;
- flat iron when new growth gets longer;
- lightly moisturize and seal about every other day;
- baggy & ghe when needed;
- comb once to twice a day;
- split-ender every 1-2 months;
- trim 2 times a year;
- && apply growth elixir 2-3 times every other week (wash week).

goal length? Somewhere b/w BSL & MBL for this particular challenge. I'm hoping to hit BSL before the end of this year though.

- PS during cold weather months
- Currently in marley twists.
- If I actually wear my hair out, I GHE every other day
- Only use all natural products on my hair - nothing with impossible to pronounce ingredients allowed!
- make my own flax seed gel
- make my own shea/mango butter daily moisturizing mix
- Wash my hair up to 2x a month w/terressentials mud wash. Any more than that and it dries my scalp out.
- Use topical growth oil 2 - 3x a week.
- currently using gro-aut oil but may switch to liquid gold
- Spritz my hair daily with my aloe/water/msm/essential oils moisturizing mix.
- Henna rinse 1x a month or every 2 months depending on how busy I am
- Take 2 MSM tablets (1000mg), 2 biotin tablets (5000mg) & 1 garlic pill daily.
- Drink 64oz of water daily (or at least get as close to that as possible!!!)
- Put as little heat on my hair as possible unless I'm doing a very infrequent length check.
- Spend as little time thinking about my hair as possible.
growth practices? - gro-aut oil at least 2x a week
- if I'm wearing my hair out, I GHE on the days I use my growth oil
- daily vitamins
- daily water intake (64oz ea. day)
- daily moisturizing spritz on my hair whether I'm PSing or wearing it out
- don't obsess over my hair - keep it super low maintenance

I'D LIKE TO DO THIS CHALLENGE BUT ILL BE ON VACATION IN JAMAICA THE FIRST TWO WEEKS IN JANUARY 16 DAYS TO BE EXACT SO I CANNOT FOLLOW THE RULES THOSE 2 WKS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THAT WILL BE OK????????????.... ILL BE HARD CORE WITH IT WHEN I GET BACK..

Thanks for starting this challenge yahya! Sign me up!!! I haven't got my relaxer yet because it's raining a lot so I don't have a progress pic yet. Funny enough I was writing a calendar for 2013 last night and decided to make a personal growth challenge for the first 3 months of 2013. Even started looking for the right growth aids to try. I'll post the application once I get my appointment done. One question though, does anyone know where I can buy the Shapley's Original M-T-G TRIAL SIZE online?
