You have to be careful when it comes to craiglisters.

Just make sure they are licensed. In Texas you can look up their names at TDLR's website (Texas Dept. of License and Regulation)

I'm sure other states have a website to look up cosmetologist credentials.

I agree. Do good work and be honest, you'll go far - steal other people's work and the BHM mafia will burn down your house and post pictures of the BBQ.

Some of them arent bad,esp for $100. IMO the blending issue is more the responsibility of the client than the installer..When someone brings/insists on adding some hair that in NO way matches their own hair, how many stylists that are doing their friends/sisters hair are going to refuse to do it?

There are stylists that install weaves for waaaay more than $100 that dont match their clients leaveout at all, because thats what the CLIENT wants..Im willing to guess that if I took some 32" silky straight blond hair to 10 random installers with cash in hand, 6 out of ten are going to take the money and do the install without blinking an eye, 3 are going to suggest going to get some other hair but do the install if I refuse to and MAYBE one will refuse to do it at all . AND the one that MAY refuse to do it will have a much higher fee that $100!

My SO found my installer on Craigslist. She charged around the same thing. Im happy overall with my install and will be going back to her. She was polite, efficient, professional and had a clean place..My only issue would be is that I told her I wanted a fuller install with 8-10oz and she forgot and only used 6. When I go back, I will be paying more attention and get it as full as I like.

I agree with you, however, I would not take pics of those styles (the ones where the client insists on using hair that does not match their own) and post them on the internet

The more I think about it the more I know I would NEVER EVER trust another stylist "I found" on CL. The one and ONLY experience I had with a CL stylist still has me pissed to this day.

I'll pass. Give me a stylist with at least 2 recommendations please and thank you.
