I know some very drunk people. When they are 'under their juice', anything goes. With these types of people, no amount of logic or reasoning penetrates them when they are drunk. I almost got hit by a car one night after being pushed into the road while trying to get a friend into the car - never again.
People who don't know how to hold their alcohol are scary, especially the ones who get violent and fight.

Maybe she could offer to go with him when he goes out and drinks so she can drive him back home. From the sounds of it she may not drink though, but it's better than the other alternatives imo

if he keeps doing it, refuses other transportation options, etc...then he deserves to be turned in.
