I am getting the really long poetic justic braids done soon. I wanna go two toned with the braids. I'm going to use color 2 and i want to use a blondish/light brown color. I think the color is 108 or something like that. But I am wondering about the placement of the colors. Should half my head be one color and the other another? jkLOL but on a serious note, should I just tell the stylist to randomly mix the hair colors or should my edges be color 108?

Mixing them for a high light effect looks soooooo much better imo (at least on me). I get the packages premixed or mix them myself. My natural color is a 4, so when I want highlights I use color 4 and 30 (light auburn), or when i want to go darker, I use 1B or 2 and 350 (burgundy). One color on top and bottom look bad to me and I don't favor it on myself. Once I got spontaneous and used color 4 only all around, but with 3-5 braids on one side being purple. It was very cute! I would do it again.

I've had various colors of braids;

Color 1, 1b, 2, 4,6,8,30,33,35

For some reason, I find colors to be nice if you're gonna keep it for less than a month. After awhile..looks kinda old and ratty. I just stick with black now.

Just my experience!
