Now I'm confused. I seal with coconut oil all the time, so what's the verdict? Sealant or not?

Thanks, jones and tasty. I ordered some oils that should be coming in the mail on Wednesday. Then maybe I can offer more input. And that gif is funny, not scary.

Coconut oil is really good for my scalp (my dry areas) and since I read
it adds protein to the hair I just apply it after I moisturize and seal
(seeing less shedding and breakage since using it for a month) and my
edges since my skin is dry. Coconut oil is antifungal, and antibacterial
and is great for nail (major improvement on my nails) and skin (hands
look much better). I don't consider it a strong enough moisturizer nor
sealant for my hair. It's more of a topical treatment for my scalp, hair,
face and body. I seal with shea butter instead since my hair gets
really soaks up moisture.

You are going to massage your hands and nails with unrefined coconut oil (doesn’t have to be this exact brand) once a day for the entire month of January. This will strengthen and promote incredible nail growth. Take a picture on day 1 and again on day 31 so you can see your progress! This challenge officially kicks off on Tuesday, Jan 1st and ends on January 31st! Please Reblog & Share so others can be motivated, as well <3 Use the tag #heyfranhey so I can track your progress! she's on tumblr

The Coconut Industry Board sells cold-pressed coconut oil for about US$12 per litre (US$45 per gallon). I need to buy some because I'm almost sure that I'm going to BC in the next 3 or 4 weeks.
