Has anyone tried co-washing with a weave? if so what were your results? I'd like to start co-washing again because my hair thrived when I started using this method on my hair journey a few yrs ago but for some reason I stopped. However, I'm not sure if I should start again now since I'm currently wearing a weave. I'm afraid that my hair might get matted and tangled once I decide to take down the weave. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I have a full weave, and I co-wash twice a week with no problems.

I'm crossing my fingers. I've been co-washing my hair underneath my weave since I got it installed about 3 wks ago, and I'd hate for my hair to be alltangled when I take it down

I have been cowashing daily or if not every other day with a weave since 2008 and I haven't had any problems.  If anything, it has kept my hair moisturized and took me from neck length/shoulder length to mid back length, that along with protective styling and good hair practices.  I never had an incident with matted or tangled hair.  I also deep condition my hair and weave once or twice a week. Cowashing is my way of styling my wavy/curly hair.

co washing is cool for the hair under the weave as long as you have extension hair that likes it too.

i used to co wash weekly with the weave in...just do it in the morning so you make sure your hair underneath dries fully before you go to bed.

I co-wash my weave hair weekly. I used to use a coloring bottle to apply con directly to my braids under the net, but not anymore. Never seem to get the con thoroughly rinsed out. Any con that gets on my braids is run off from me rinsing out the weave . Works great for me and less matting and itching.

I think co-washing has worked wonders for my hair under my weave, keeping it well moisturized
