Turn my unit yaki!

So I was trying to buy a IY or KS unit and didn't have time to do a custom from Kevin and for some reason I just didn't trust any of these "we can ship it quick" vendors to do an order with them. So I ended up buying from the M2M exchange downstairs.

Specs:

Rex IR straight 20" that had no previous work done to it.

I couldn't find the quantum perm kit that ChicFrenchy mentioned because I wanted to do this last weekend when Irene was here so I couldn't go to the city to go to my preferred BSS for supplies. So, I bought the Ogilvie perm system from the Rite Aid by my house. Thankfully it was really easy to do. Total time was probably an hour and 15min to an hour and a half only because it took forever to take the tiny braids out.

Turning an IR unit yaki (the process): http://flickr.com/gp/bigapplestyle/0e1j9p/

IR Turned Yaki Unit cut & flatironed: http://flickr.com/gp/bigapplestyle/pv6d64/

Unit hasn't been cut, colored or styled because I literally just finished turning it Yaki this afternoon. Thursday and Friday I'll do some DC's and then probably Saturday or Sunday I'm going to attempt an ombre style. I'll update when I do.

I don't understand how you did it (sounds like my old chemistry class to me!) but it came out really pretty.  Can't wait to see you wearing it!  Thumbs Up

Good job. It looks like a light Italian Yaki.
Be careful with your ombre color job. All that processing + lightening, the hair may act crazy. But I know you're a hair expert, so I guess you'll handle this well.
