Also in New York,
Forest Whitaker, who plays the lead role in "Lee Daniels' The Butler" (opening August 16), was seen in New York this week playing his other roles of father and husband.
The famed director and actor was in town with wife Keisha Nash Whitaker and their daughters Sonnet Noel Whitaker & True Whitaker (not pictured) as he and the rest of the cast have been engaged in a huge press tour for the film.
Wondering if Keshia chose this look on purpose.
During a recent interview with the New York Times, Forest (who also produced Fruitvale Station) commented on the timing of Fruitvale Station and Lee Daniels' The Butler both coming out on the heels of the George Zimmerman verdict.
"I think things are converging to move us and to
reshape humanity. I produced a film called “Fruitvale Station,” and it’s
trying to talk about these kinds of issues. All these things are piling
up for us. People are speaking; they’re talking about it.
Acknowledgment is a big part of healing."
Will you be buying a ticket to see Lee Daniel's The Butler? We surely will....
