I posted the first link to someone I know who also does music and they mentioned how there has been a rise of "blue eyed soul" artists (direct quote) For me soul is soul, real soul at least is within an artist and it comes out through their music. However one of the responses to this from someone who saw what I posted was "Damn HE can SING, but he doesn't look like a soul singer." The person went on to argue that the true soul is only in black artists and no white man/woman out right now has soul. I managed to delete the post to stay free from getting annoyed. It's a shame.Because he's denying many of their talents all because of their skin or culture/race/ethnicity.

I was fortunate enough to see the first artist on a travel I took to london months ago at a performance and I can truly say his voice was magical, to me. He performed a DAngelo tune and the looks on peoples faces were shock but glory. Praiseworthy. Easily one of the most enticing voices I've been fortunate enough to hear and watch. He's upcoming but by his music alone I know that he'll reach others. Will Heard is the name. I wish there was more up to showcase his talent.
I mean soul music is "black" in terms of its origin, but soul music is
whatever you feel and it comes out I believe when you perform. So I just want to question, what does soul look like to you all?
