Agreed Purp bc if you making 100k and spending just as much...

Also I don't define ses just on income.
Me and a professor were talking about this.

He doesn't make as much as some labor job he mentioned but he has more leisure time and pto access to retirement funding whatever and doesn't have to work himself to the bone

my opinion is that it really doesnt matter.

people can be middle class and upper middle class, but cash poor and retirement poor.

if you spend what you make, you just have more access the higher your class of income.

just like that BMI thread...you can be a healthy weight, but not healthy in general.

a person can be lower middle class, but not cash poor. People forget that the devil is in the details.

It would be interesting to get an opinion on what someone thinks is an adequate emegency savings, regular savings, retirement savings, okay debt and cash on hand for each group and age brackett.

1 person yearly net income. My guesses!

Lower Class- meLOL. Negative income to $50k.

Working Class- Everyone who has to work in order to make ends meet.

Lower Middle Class-
$50k to $100k

Middle Class
-$100-150k

Upper Middle Class-$150 to $250k

Upper Class $250,000 & up.

I think these numbers would be much lower in certain rural areas in the south. You can make that dollar stretch around here.

Now I am off to go find the charts to see how far off I am.
