I have virgin hair extensions.

basically, I want to dye it jet black, bleach the ends, and dye the ends a burgundy color. Is that okay?

What if i bleach and dye the ends first ... wrap the ends with aluminum foil to protect it from when i dye the rest of the hair jet black?

I'm trying to make a u part wig with a closure. Should I do all of this dying and bleaching when it's attached to the wig or before I attach it to the wig?

Idk a lot about coloring hair but I'm pretty sure that if you dye the hair jet black you'll have trouble lifting the ends and may need a dye remover. So I would say your best bet is to lift the ends and dye them first and then dye the top black. But like you said you want to cover the ends so u song get the black on them.

itll be easier to dye before you attach it. i recommend you only dye the top black, then bleach the bottom and dye that.

Yeah IA with the other posters.

I've dyed these same extensions multiple times. It's all about order and not doing unecessary bleaching/dying when you don't have to.

I would bleach and dye the tips burgundy first, cover those (aluminum foil, as you said), then dye the rest of the hair black.

And it's easier to do when not attached!
