okay, i'm back in, trying new things this time around. my hair is so temperamental but so far i think i found smtg that works!
If i don't cut my hair anymore this year, it should, in theory, be almost BSL by january of next year. so since it's close enough, i am happy to join this challenge. okay. i shall NOT cut my hair or "trim". i am soooo unbelievably scissor happy. whatever breakage i get i'ma just deal with naturally minus scissors. okay. off to take pix!

So I ended up flat-ironing my hair for an interview I had on Tuesday, the 11th.
Here's a pic.

So it's my hair journey anniversary tomorrow whoop!! If I can dig a picture up from 2007 (my hair was probably at it's shortest but I wasn't on my hair journey then) then in the present day I'll put it up here. Tp me I have achieved loads on 3 years I just have to remind myself patience is key and health above all else for hair to flourish.
I'm also thinking of going back to washing my hair twice a week just cause I feel the general wet and windy weather is drying out my scalp more.

Congrats on your hair anniversary! I would love to see your comparison pictures? So you started your hair journey in 2011? I started mine Aug 2010. I actually let my hair grow out with weave from 2008 till 2010 and then did a Japanese straightening treatment (worst decision ever) to start my natural journey all over again without any coverageWink

Sorry ladies I was gone for so long. For some reason the forum didn't accept my login info as valid so I had to request a new one but never got the emails; I finally tried again today and it worked. Thanks goodness.

I missed being in here.

I have some new products that I am trying out: after reading many good reviews about MTG, Megatek and Vatika oil, I decided to finally purchase them; they are sitting on my hair as I type! I also got some DevaCurl products: the gel, the leave in and the "Set up and Above" styler. Yes, you caught me: I am a PJ, a bad one!!! Besides that I got the AG split end spa, and some monoi oil by Matrix cause I ain't paying for the Carol's daughter ridiculous prices.

I got all this products because I've been feeling very discouraged about my hair lately. Due to a bad haircut, there's not a single strand of hair in my head that is the same length; I believe this has been creating the worst case of split ends I ever experienced. I just wanted to cut all my hair off, all of it!!!!

I think I a going to give this products a try and see how they go. I'll keep you guys updated.

I would like to join. After 3 yrs of being natural I should have been bsl. :( I was hoping my pregnancy would give me a boost but nope still growing 1/4 an inch per month.

I am currently grazing apl. I will be making wigs this week they'll be my choice of ps for the next 6 months. I want to revamp my regimen with new products. They're in the mail. The regimen below incorporates them all

I will cowash weekly with Suave naturals almond & shea butter
Moisturize & seal 2 times a week with Giovanni direct leave in, or elasta qp mango & olive oil butter. Seal with coconut oil, avocado oil, & argan oil.
Shampoo with Suave naturals almond & shea butter +an acv rinse bi-weekly.
Dc once a month with ors replenishing conditioner or aubreys honeysuckle rose conditioner
dust ends every 3 months
