To cap off my "curl" obsession, I curled my hair on straws. I didn't separate them, but I kept them in for a week. I'm now rocking a twist updo

I also have noticed the longer my hair gets, the more tangled and knotted my ends become.

My hair in general feels good especially after I wash it of course.
My ends can be funny as even when I managed to get rid of a batch splits they just don't feel nice and the splits come back I've being using porosity control & coconut oil to combat this. I can totally related to the tangle knotted sitch as before oil rinsing would wipe out my fairy knots now they just linger like a bad cold!
Funny you mention protein as I did use peanut butter on my hair last night and I must say I should do it more frequently hair feels great afterwards. I've never used any hard protein just cause my hair doesn't loose it curl pattern so I just opt for more moisture over protein cause my hair falls to the drier side most times.

Sorry for the long paragraph by the way I love the sets you do for your hair there lovely!

I feel like I am really close to BSL but my ends are straggly. Hopefully I can be a full blunt ended BSL by the end of the year.

That's great news relaxedtresses glad you will be able to reach those goals even with that mini setback.

I will post a up to date photo of my hair next week once it's stretched to full capacity and dyed for the last time for now.

So I haven't dyed it yet buy hair is stretched to full capacity here are my pictures:

I feel the changes I've made in my routine have really helped me get to this APL milestone I've been trying to conquer but now the real challenge is get past there and staying past. I've been really religious about apply jojoba and argan oil to my ends daily and just putting in a bun so I think it's really preventing my split ends and less shampoo.
Thanks to the few who gave some pointers and advice. Smile

Any updates ladies??

Lol @cheche. It really does make a difference because in one bra I'm bsl and in another bra I've got a long way to go. It just depends how they sit on you.I think I'm going with BSB instead of bsl because bsl changes depending on the bra. But good growth chech. You look bsb!

OAN note my hair only feels soft when I flay iron it. I notice that if I just airdry and bun it feels hard and dry. But if I flatiron it feels soft and moisturized. I use the same methods. Anybody know whats up with that?
