This is definitely weird
I know a lot of kids play like this with their regular babies, which i think is fine. But what's the point of making a doll specifically for this purpose?

I was discussing this on a mother board yesterday..
There's already a stigma with nursing in America oddly, so of course people are going to find it "gross" (as they stuff their newborns with a processed milk substitute)
Anywho - I think the doll is great. Teaches young girls that their breasts aren't just sexual items, but actually were designed with another great purpose.

Do you have a problem with other toys like play kitchens, vacuums, baby dolls that eat and poop, etc?

Then barbie dolls shouldn't have breasts...
I'm sure little girls suddenly want to know about sex and where babies come from when they change out their barbies clothing..

| yes. im not teaching my daughter how to clean house and take care of babies while shes only 5. just like im not buying her dolls that are all about fashion, hair and make up. im pretty old fashion. we play hand games, hopscotch, simon says, ride bikes and skate. heck the other night we played hide n seek in the dark.
if yall like it roll with it. i want my kids to stay kids for as long as possible...

I think the dolls are great. I believe in breastfeeding, breastfed all of mine and I support age appropriate truthfulness. My sons played with dolls because they wanted to be "good dads" like their daddy.
Kids see animals feeding their babies all the time. The mother feeds them. My youngest loves animals and when he was about three he asked. Mom, do all mommies feed their babies. and I said yes. Then he said, I saw some mommies feeding their babies with a bottle...are they just lazy?
I don't think that breastfeeding interferes with childhood. JMO

THIS.
I've always had a problem with these toy companies pushing "baby" dolls, toy kitchens etc. on kids...particularly girls. To me, it sends subliminal messages of "See, this is what you were born to do!" Let the kids BE kids.

I don't agree with baby dolls for little girls. Why would I want my little daughter thinking about being a mother already? I also don't believe in buying violent toys like guns for little boys. Some of this shyt hits too close to home. It's easy to have a baby or to shoot someone. Aim higher.
And yes, the breastfeeding aspect makes it a lot worse.
